Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP)
March 31–April 11, 2025
Dear Parent or Guardian,
Students in grades 3-11 will be taking the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) from March 31 - April 11th. The ISASP is administered online and is an untimed assessment. OCSD Home School Assistance Program and Virtual Learning students will have customized testing schedules.

Please click Overview of Assessment for more information. Be on the lookout for additional communication from your child’s building administrator regarding specific testing information.

For ISASP frequently asked questions, see the FAQs on the Bulletins page (click for access).

The District requires that students understand their crucial role in the assessments. Please review the honor code below with your student(s). In student-friendly terms, it states:

I will perform with honesty and integrity. Even when something is hard for me, I will do my own work so that my teachers know what I need and how to help me improve. I will try my hardest. I am aware that there are consequences for cheating, and I pledge that I will not:
  • take pictures of any answer electronically.
  • show answers by sharing my screen, using hand signals, or sharing scratch paper. I will not look for answers by looking at someone else’s screen, interpreting others’ hand signals, or looking at others’ scratch paper.
  • talk about tests I have taken and my friends have not.
  • share test tickets.
  • do anything to artificially improve my scores or others’ scores.

Your student’s principal and/or teacher(s) will provide building-specific testing information. If you have any questions, please contact your school. You can access OCSD’s testing policy by clicking HERE
